Rhododendron Nursery is moving!
As from 31st May 2007 Penton Mill Rhododendrons will no longer
be operating at its' current location in Cumbria. The good
news is that it is to be relocated to Marple, near Stockport
in Cheshire where the tradition of growing the more rare
and unusual Rhododendrons, along with other choice plants,
will be continued and built upon.
I will be handing over to the very capable hands of Tim Atkinson
and Jez Clark who will be running the nursery alongside their
current landscaping business, Sound.Garden.Designs (www.soundgardendesign.co.uk)
I would like to extend a very big 'thankyou' to the many
customers who have given the nursery their support during
its' time at Penton Mill and I am sure that the much appreciated
interest and support will continue once it is established
at Marple.

Welcome to Penton Mill
Rhododendron nursery in Cumbria. We specialise in
all types of Rhododendrons and aim to provide a friendly and
personal service, giving any help and information you may
require whether you are a seasoned gardener or just starting
to grow Rhododendrons.
Located in peaceful countryside near to the Scottish border,
our nursery, where you are welcome to come and browse, offers
a huge selection of plants including many rare and unusual
varieties. We can undertake a visit to your own garden, enabling
you to benefit from first hand advice regarding suitability
of the proposed site, selection of plants and any other queries
you may have. We also provide a delivery and/or planting service
if this is desired.
As well as Rhododendrons we are beginning to grow a range
of accompanying trees, shrubs and herbaceous perennials, aiming
to gradually introduce more varieties until a good selection
is available. We have also been growing willow for the past
two seasons and have begun to take commissions for living
willow structures such as screens and arbours – an attractive,
long-lasting alternative to fences or hedges. Cuttings to
produce your own willow from are sometimes available on request
from December to March.
Please browse our website using the text buttons at the top
of the page. If you require any additonal information regarding
either the nursery or plant availability, please use the online
enquiry form. Alternatively, you are welcome to call me, Amanda
Cullen, on 01228 577336.
